The AR6 Working Group 3 report was published in April 2022. This third and final part of the AR6 report focuses on climate change mitigation, including past and future efforts at reducing greenhouse gas emissions across a variety of economic sectors.

This summary report demonstrates an undeniable scientific consensus about the urgency of the climate crisis, its primary causes, its current devastating impacts – especially on most climate vulnerable regions – and the irreversible harm that will occur if warming surpasses 1.5°C, even temporarily.

The Synthesis Report was released on 20 March 2023. During the sixth assessment cycle ( October 2015 to July 2023) the IPCC produced the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) with contributions by its three Working Groups and a Synthesis Report, three Special Reports, and a refinement to its latest Methodology Report.
